Cigna Dental Insurance

As a subscriber to Cigna dental insurance, you have a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan. This means you can choose the dentist you prefer when it’s time for an exam or treatment. Since Rock Creek Dental is a member of Cigna’s network (which currently includes about 72,000 dentists and specialists), choosing us means significant cost advantages.

If your family is made up of four or more people, Cigna insurance is even more beneficial. Whereas the individual deductible is $50, the maximum family deductible is $150. This means that once you’ve paid a deductible for three people in your family, you won’t need to pay any more deductibles for the rest of the year.

Cigna offers the following three levels of coverage:

Cigna Preventative

You and your family are covered for all preventative services (with no yearly maximum); however, and restorative or orthodontic treatment falls under the patient’s responsibility. (Discounts are available.)

Cigna 1000

Under this program, you and your family are covered for preventative, diagnostic, and restorative procedures, up to $1,000 per person. Additionally, each patient in your family receives lifetime orthodontic coverage of up to $1,000 per person.

Cigna 1500

Cigna’s premiere dental insurance plan offers all of the benefits of Cigna 1000, but with higher maximum coverage — up to $1,500 per patient for all preventative, diagnostic, and restorative procedures. (Orthodontic coverage remains the same, with a maximum of $1,000 per person.)
